A SESSION ON CAREER OPPORTUNITIES WITH ACCA

On January 07^th, 2020, at the School of Economics (SoE) Conference Room, Department of Accounting and Auditing and the Center for Training, Research and Economic Consulting, in collaboration with the Office of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants Vietnam (ACCA Vietnam) recently organized a session about "Career Opportunities with ACCA" for students in Accounting, Auditing and Finance - Banking.

The guest speakers included Ms. Vu Thi Thanh Tam - Senior Manager of Training Division, ACCA Vietnam; Dr. Tran Khanh Lam - General Secretary of Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants (VACPA); Ms. Tran Thi Hai Van - Training Director, IAP Center and Ms. Nguyen Trung Ngan - Head of Tax Department, Deloitte Vietnam, ACCA Member, SoE Alumni, Can Tho University. On SoE side, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Truong Dong Loc – vice Dean and Dr. Nguyen Huu Dang - Head of Department of Accounting and Auditing participated in and, more than 120 students from the Department of Accounting and Auditing and Department of Finance and Banking attended this session.

At the session, the speakers shared their experiences on innovation in accounting and auditing, career development and opportunities with ACCA as well as accounting and auditing practicing experience. Besides, all the students' concerns and questions about ACCA's career opportunities and experience, career development and opportunities to become ACCA members were discussed and answered by the guest speakers.
