SIGNING CEREMONY OF THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MoU) BETWEEN SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS AND VIETNAM ASSOCIATION OF CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS (VACPA)

On January 28^th, 2021, School of Economics (SoE) of Can Tho University (CTU) held the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants (VACPA). Attending the ceremony were representatives of leaders and partners of the two sides, and representatives of the Center for Economic Training, Research and Consultancy.

The ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Tran Khanh Lam - Vice President and Secretary General of VACPA, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Khuong Ninh - Dean of SoE, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Long Hau - Director of Center for Economic Training, Research and Consultancy - Can Tho University, and the leaders of Departments of Accounting – Auditing and Department of Finance – Banking.

Following the signing ceremony of the MoU, cooperative activities between the two partners will include (i) study and development of documents and publications related to accounting profession, domestic and international auditing; (ii) coordination in scientific research in the field of Auditing and Accounting targeting at career management, auditing standards, and audit techniques. In addition, there will be further collaborations between SoE and VACPA by jointly designing and implementing practical training programs to meet the recruitment needs of enterprises, and also provide students with improved professional knowledge and practical skills.

       This is very meaningful collaboration between CTU and VACPA. The activities in the coming time will strengthen the capacity and ability to capture the most updated information in the area of Accounting and Auditing. Besides, the results of this will also be expected to improve soft skills and practical skills in order to access professional opportunities for Accounting and Auditing students.
